I did some fishing on the Mullica this past saturday. I got skunked. Not even a bite. Too much water I suppose. Anyway, it was still a great day in the woods.

Coming around the bend a bunch of large red bellies were sunning themselves. A typical sight, and typically, they dove in when they realized I was there. One turtle however, was either the bravest, or dumbest turtle on the river and let me approach him.

Great pics :) Don't feel bad , I've been skunked too . Toughest year so far since I'm down here .Like you I've been finding a lot red-belly turtles . Tried today w/ live bait , which I rarely ever use , still skunked ! 2 weeks ago private pond ...still skunked !! Like you said , Probably all the rain.

Nice pictures! The fish may not have been biting, but the flies really were yesterday. At my place they were so bad that I cut my evening walk short.

Same luck for me. I've been bitten so many times I've lost count. Yesterday it was green heads! Fishing has been very slow.
