My connection to a Western ghost town

All,
I figured I'd mention this because someone might find it interesting.
My great-grandmother (my mother's mother's mother), who was born in 1886, spent time in the 1940s and maybe 1950s as the postmaster of Goldfield, Nevada. At one time I believe Goldfield had 10,000 or 30,000 residents, something like that. I've read that it's pretty much a ghost town now. But there are about 400 people still living there. But anyway, Great-grandmom was the postmaster, and my mom's cousin remembers visiting out there when he was a little kid and seeing Great-grandmom wearing two 6-shooters to work every day, because in those days the West was still somewhat wild in some areas. When I first heard this I thought it was the coolest thing.
I have a clipping out of the Goldfield News from about 1946 telling about Great-grandmom being appointed by the president as the new postmaster there. Tomorrow I'll try to put up another photo gallery and put my scan of that news clipping in there, along with scans of a couple of postal cards I have that were mailed to, and postmarked in, Bodie, California, which is now a very famous ghost town where nobody lives at all. I even have a post card that was mailed from Bodie, California to Goldfield, Nevada, with a 1906 Bodie postmark. I'll put the scan of that in also.
It's amazing what you can find on Ebay!
