My daughter buys me a calendar every year for Christmas where you send in 12 photos (one for each month) and they make the calendar. Even Walmart now does it. I know some of you might do that too. If you don't, I highly recommend it.

Not all of the above went into the calendar, but going through my photos, each of the above was a good 2012 memory for me.

PS: if anyone knows the name of the creek in the 5th photo down, you are a good piney!

I'm not a piney yet, I still need many more years under my belt, but the I was bouncing back and forth between the Tulp or Cedar.

Al / Gibby, neither of those two are correct. Tis in fact the Mount Misery Brook. The photo was a few hundred yards upstream of the place it is named for.

PW and Terry; that is Symphyotrichum novi-belgii . Terry, as you said, an aster.

Hey, a brook isn't a creek! Thanks for the ID Bobpbx. I need much more practice to develop my piney-fu. Joking aside, I have explored some areas of wet cedar near Mt. Misery but I have yet to put any hard miles along the brook itself. Eventually I will be able to say ' I have been there!'.

That's a nice looking largemouth bass...but the beer looks a little stale. What did you catch the bass on? Lure? Plastic? Live?

The 6th picture down looks like the island in Lake Pemberton?

OC, the bass was caught on a mepps spinner. The lake is actually a clay-lined retention pond. I'll PM you on that.
