It may have been spotted in NJ also.

The face looks like a hyena but the tail is too long, hyenas have short tails and their rear end slopes down and is not even with the shoulders like that animal.

Interestingly enough, it does look like one.

That depends on how many of them you see. I haven't see one here in Sussex County but I've seen many Bears which I now consider boring along with the Deer that use my lawn for a Johnny-on-the-spot :x
