When I read this I thought that I had read something about Ten Mile Hollow from Henry Charlton Beck. I thumbed through all of his books and didn't find anything. I checked pretty much every other pertinent book I have and can't find it either. But I know I've read about it in a book.

I would have bet on Beck as well. I looked and could not find it either. When I posted the cache page, I had put a reference to the quote. I let someone adopt the cache while I was away and they changed the page. I adopted it back and never noticed the reference was gone until I just looked. I will have to remove the quote as soon as I get a chance. Unless I can find the quote again....
