N.J. state parks grapple with crowds after reopening

Kiyomi Locker, feeling cooped up, went to newly reopened Batsto in New Jersey's Wharton State Forest on Saturday but what she found was "unsettling:" Lines of cars, and many people out without wearing masks and not practicing social distancing.

Hopefully, the coastal beaches starting to open this weekend will start sucking people away from the Batsto Funland Theme Park.

I saw what looked like beach parties on the Oswego and Mullica Rivers last weekend. And I saw a group of 8 or 9 adult Medford residents running together in a pack yesterday morning. I drove by too quickly or I would have lowered my window and shared my views of their behavior.
