The house is original from the brick cellar right up to the hand-hewn attic rafters pegged together with mortise and tenon joints. The rafters are numbered with Roman numerals. Under the asbestos is wooden clapboard. Walls are hand-planed boards or plaster added around 1830. Floors are random-width pine boards. There is an original brick cooking fireplace. A cast iron fire-back was made in 1800 at Batsto, a forge in Burlington County. The outhouse is still out back.
