Natural Stone Formation?

Came upon some stones, unclear if they are natural, dumped or part of an old ruin possibly? The large single stone had what appeared to be drill holes. Location is near the water tower on the Medford - Shamong boarder, off the high tension wires road in a small pit area. Any thoughts?

Sure looks natural.

That property is owned by the township of Medford and they don't want anyone there so I have not walked up that far along the power lines. Looks like I will have to get there soon.

I used to live in that pit!
There always was a large deposit of sandstone in there.
Especially the NE corner.

I came upon a similar outcropping like that near Barnegat. It was dug out too. maybe when building the parkway.
