New nature trail in our back woods.

Dec 31, 1969
I've been working on a nature trail in our back woods. I started it on Sunday 2/17. It zigzags a lot, but basically stays in the same direction the whole way. I made the trail because without it, it would be impossible to walk around in our back woods because of all the Scrub Oak back there. The stuff is unbelievable. Now with this trail I can enjoy the woods. In 1985 when we moved here I went exploring back there and got turned around 3 times, seeing the same spot over and over. I also walked out of that woods with scratches all over myself from the Scrub Oaks.
Back then I found a dry stream bed, and found it again yesterday, for the first time in probably 15 years. It's solid with vegetation just like the rest of the woods, but the vegetation looks like high-bush blueberry rather than scrub oak or Inkberry Holly. Pretty neat. I'll continue the trail some more, one of these days. I don't know how far back it goes, but I'm estimating several hundred feet or more.
