New terrestrial leetch found in south jersey

Interesting article, I find it discomforting they are offering a $20 dollar reward for each leetch captured. Seems irresponsible to have the average joe digging through sphagnum bogs searching for leaches, most likely confusing them with salamanders.

wow ! that is amazing. So south jersey is home to a new species of animal. if a new plant is discovered it is something to get ecited about so this seems momumental. i am not sure if it is exclusive to south jersey from the article.

I wonder if it will be protected if they determine it is rare? somehow i doubt it. a 10" leech! that sucker couyld take a lot of blood.
