I thought the big cedar out on Nixon Branch at over 10.5 ft circumference was th biggest but according to this
http://www.americanforests.org/bigtree/atlantic-whitecedar-chamaecyparis-thyoides-3/
it's nowhere near the biggest

I've always been of the opinion that few of these specimens are the actual biggest. Just the biggest that someone found, measured and reported. ;) I remember when two of my former professors, John Kuser and Dick West, dominated the list of reporters of the specimens, and they were concentrated in the regions both lived. There were not more champion trees in those areas, just more guys hunting them down.

Bob I just got confirmation from Gerry that that is a typo. The tree in bass river is 100 inches or 9ft 2.The tree on Nixons is I think 10.8 ft and the one on Muskee a couple inches smaller.
