SPECIAL RECRUITMENT OPPORTUNITIES
NJ DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection is recruiting
to immediately fill positions in the following programs: Water Supply,
Land Use Regulation, Watershed Management, Water Quality, Site
Remediation, Solid & Hazardous Waste, and Water Compliance &
Enforcement.
The requirements for these positions are as follow:
Environmental Specialist Trainee
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's
Degree in the Physical, Environmental, Chemical or Biological Sciences
or Environmental Planning or Civil, Sanitary, Chemical, Environmental,
Mechanical, Agricultural, Mining, Industrial or Bioresource
Engineering. Starting Salary $36,000.49 Six Month Increase $37,648.44
Environmental Engineer Trainee
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's
degree in Civil, Sanitary, Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical,
Agricultural, Mining, Industrial or Bioresource Engineering. NOTE:
Possession of a current, valid Professional Engineer' License issued
by the New Jersey State Board of Professional Engineers and Land
Surveyors may be substituted for the Bachelor' degree in Engineering.
Starting Salary $40,944.34 Six Month Increase $42,592.29
Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in
New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee
mobility, is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
Benefits include 13 holidays per year, personal leave time including
vacation, sick and administrative leave. Excellent health, dental and
pension benefits.
