Holy Mackerel!!! All these folks want to do is wet a line. Those involved need to stop playing kick the can and put up the freakin barrier they were supposed too.
Spent many weekend's fishing off those bridges in my younger years countless dinners from each never had a problem with vehicles passing by. lower bank bridge was made of wood back then.
I saw the property next to the bridge for sale 3 or 4 years back, The house on it was falling down.
The county should have bought it an used it for parking and fishing. It's an odd spot for a house
so close to the bridge.
Perhaps the NJCF could donate, or do a land swap, for a small piece of their Bear Creek Preserve, which is opposite where the house is, so a small parking area and fishing pier could be built, as was done at Amasa Landing.
