It wouldn't be so bad to get an inch or so of rain, we need it. I hate the idea of the leaves being blown off the trees before we have a chance to enjoy the fall splendor for a little while. Seemed to have happened the past few years.

I like it - we need the rain, did not get very much at all from the last storm. I'm all for "leaf peeping", but it will be good to get the leaves off before the first snow to avoid falling trees. Don't know where you are, but the fall colors were very nice down here last year, and the color is starting again now.

Yesterday the acorns were falling like hail in the wind. I didn't even go on my usual walk - the oaks are tall here and those things hurt when they hit you! :D

We've had the bombardment for about 2 weeks. Its like walking on ball bearings out back. I wore my construction helmet when taking the dog out; with little to no hair it's a necessity. Obamacare won't cover acorn wounds.

Acorn eaters must be doing backflips :)

Very little rain here, just some passing showers. It looks like the heavy stuff has gone to the west into PA. Lot of wind though; gusting to 40mph.

That acorn would be a mighty oak by the time you managed to create an account on healthcare.gov.
