about eight of us did a 12 mile paddle from BCC to mt holly on the north branch of the Rancocas

a very pleasant shady trip.

thanks to some deadicated OCSJ members and others, it was just cleared of most of the snags and logs

saw some hugh old turtles and some "Rancocas ducks" who swam out to greet us along the way

although the water level was very low it was very doable

sounds like a nice trip.
Could you tell me where the put in and take out spots are located?
I might want to check it out.
Tom
from rt 38, we put in on the pemberton/browns mills by-pass, the put in is on the left just befor the first parking lot for BCC befor PBM road. we dropped off the kayaks/canoes and then parked at the BCC side parking lot just down the road 100 yards and walked back to the put in

you will have to portage around the Pembertom dam and again at Smithville, we stopped a the newest section of Smithville park for lunch. the whole trip took about 5 hours

the take out spot is just off of pine street in mt Holly just down from the old Agway, make a right turn befor you go over the small bridge there (there is a school and athletlic fields there) just drive stright back you will see the portage

good info thanks a lot.
I'm not familiar with the Rancocos at all so I'm looking forward to it.
I spend most of my paddling on the Wading, Batsto and Mullica.
Hoping for a nice rain so I can get back out there at a decent water level.
Thanks again
Tom
