All,

The girls and I were in Vermont all week and here are a few from our visit. Fall comes early near the Canadian border.

A train derailment sometime in the past two months. They had to come in and remove the cargo using front end loaders which removed most of the trees in the area.

Jennifer spotted this old car in the woods. Anyone know what it is?

Could be.

Really beautiful photos Guy! Boy, that new england woods looks alot easier to walk through than our pine barrens.

Thanks Jeff! The problem is that for the most part wherever you go the woods are the same. The barrens have so much more diversity.

You have some lovely views there, Guy. The leaf-color combinations are especially vibrant. Did it make you feel at home, as if you were still in the Barrens, finding that derelict car? Thanks for sharing!

I try to do things that remind me of the pines, so yes finding that car was of interest to me. Jessica spotted an old mausoleum up on a hill that had the door hanging off which also peaked our interest. We climbed the hill and I took this with her camera. It was hard to get her to leave ;)
