did the Oswego yesterday.....not much water in it, the lowest i have ever seen
i don't mind downed trees, but dragging my kayak through by hand just is not fun and using my paddle as a "poleing rod" made it a slow trip to Harrisville
this area needs some rain bad !
it would not even been good for a "comando float" trip
but it was still better than what most people were doing i guess :)

We did the Mullica just below Atsion Lake to the beaver pond on Saturday. Plenty of water but a big downed maple was blocking the way. No way around, had to hoist the kayaks over it.

A "comando float" trip? Is that when you float down the river with no underwear on? I think I might have a different understanding of the word "comando" in this context. But if I don't, hey, it is worth a shot if you recommend it Stu.

i just got a cheap inflatable kayak and i too was on both the mullica and the oswego for a little bit on sunday going after some paddle-to caches at harrisville and beaver ponds. i was surprised by how much fun it is and how beautiful everything looks from out on the water. in the middle of a part of harrisville pond it was so shallow that i actually got stuck on the bottom and had to turn around and go through another way.
