I was at Apple Pie Hill for almost two hours tonight and we had a solid presence by the Park Police. Driving around, parking along the road and watching things, and staying until we left at dusk.

I've noticed since around late summer 2010 they have had a much better prescence out there. Unfortunately I need to get them up to speed on what to watch out for because they seem not to be aware of some less obvious threats to the ecology out there.

I forgot to mention about a month ago I was photographing the sunset at Friendship Bogs, I watched a Park Police Jeep circle the area multiple times. Made me pretty happy.

I don't recall ever seeing a single policeman in those woods back in the old days, but I also never encountered any trouble in there, and times have changed.
