After my strange adventure at Evans Bridge, I took a nice, restful, math-free walk through Parker Preserve.

Paving stones on yellow trail, Parker Preserve, May 2023. Not only can the Pine Barrens boast of its own Albert Hall, but possibly its own Great White Way as well?

Pitcher plant off of Parker Preserve yellow trail, May 2023. This was the first time I had seen one. At first I thought it was some kind of orchid, but an online search indicated it was of the genus Sarracenia.

Off of yellow trail, Parker Preserve, May 2023. This makes me think a little of Rene Magritte with the white clouds reflecting off of the blue water. When the picture is flipped 180 degrees, it looks a bit surrealistic.

Turtle along side of road near yellow trail, May 2023. There seemed to be large numbers of ants going in and out from this turtle. Might it have shuffled off its mortal coil shortly before getting its picture taken?

Old man too lazy to even try to hide his indolence, south observation tower, Parker Preserve, May 2023. It's funny -- while some folks spend their whole lives searching in vain for a Sasquatch, Bigfoot and its mate dog my every step. :D
