Parker sunset and a bandit

8:30 at FPP.

A bit after 7 I saw a large grey cat walking towards me. It seemed unconcerned that I was there and thought that it might make friends. When it got closer I realized it wasn't a cat. It was squeaking and when he got within 20 feet I thought he might come at me. Got a couple of blurry shots with my pocket camera, and when I tried to put my backpack down to get my real camera, it sauntered off.
Also saw a beaver walk across the road in front of me on the way in.

The final shot is from a location that I have posted before.

Did you ever pick up that pepper spray?
Been carrying it for 3 years. Called Sabre, they shipped, no questions asked. I was still over a mile in the woods 25 minutes after sunset and having it on my hip gives me some peace of mind.

Since a bear was spotted on Savoy Blvd. (according to 46er) last week, I feel like I want to keep carrying it.
