Pgymy Pines Hike

Thanks everyone for your help. We did the hike today and everyone had a great time. There was no air show to watch but the pygmy pines did not disappoint. I did get us off track for a little bit but it only added another mile or so to the hike -- so it wasn't a big deal. But at one point, due to my unplanned detour, we were on the road that borders the Bombing Range so we took a picture of the group clustered around a "Bombing Range. Do not enter." sign. Always good to have a memento!
We did see lots of Pine Barren Heather and some nice patches of Trailing Arbutus all in full bloom. Unfortunately we didn't see the Pyxies -- much to my dismay as they certainly looked beautiful in the photo. After the hike we stopped at Lucille's for lunch. It was a new spot for a couple of my hikers so hopefully Lucille will have a couple more steady customers now. All in all a very nice day! Thanks again!
