And the ants make it even better. They are an interesting plant but they places they like to grow make them so vulnerable.

You sure take pictures better than me. I had the sun to my back at 9 AM so I could hardly see my camera screen, let alone those ants.

It was nice to find several plants today, at different locations. They seem to enjoy the driest, most barren, deep sand that they can sink their roots into and inches away from danger. Endangered should be changed to imperiled.
