Found this guy on a piece of concrete. Guy, is this a marker of some sort?

That piece of concrete looks like it may have been a footing for a fence or sign post or something.

for some reason whenever I use the zoom on my camera it comes out out of focus.

Same here. You have to either not zoom in as far, be more steady, and with my camera and maybe yours, I have to turn on the Macro even when far away and zooming.

If you zoom in too far you are using the digital zoom feature which is always out of focus without a tripod.
