TABERNACLE — With a carousel, Ferris wheel and beer garden, the Pinelands is ready to party.
The 24th Pine Barrens Festival began last night at the Church of the Holy Eucharist on Medford Lakes Road, featuring food, fun and games for the whole family.
The festival is open from 6 to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday, with no admission or parking fees.
“The big thing is our fresh seafood and beer garden,” said Tom VonHoltum, a church volunteer.
There also will be a blueberry bake-off. After all, the blueberry is a Pinelands staple.
Alongside the standard carnival treats, the church will serve full meals each evening, with themed menus such as Italian, Polish and barbecue.
