Ms. Wittenberg’s speech was carefully crafted. Although it indicates the Pinelands Commission will provide economic development outreach to municipalities, that development must still meet Pinelands standards that protect and enhance this special place. That’s my read, anyway. Wittenberg is very smart and may just end up being a pretty conscientious Executive Director after all. I hope the referenced streamlining doesn't put to much control to local politicians without proper checks and balances.
