It's my first pitcher plant find. I actually took a few pictures of the maroon colored bulbs and only noticed what the plant was later on looking at the pictures on my computer. I was astonished I had not looked down at the time. I returned to snap these the next day.

Is this considered one plant or a group of many?

I would consider that a cluster of many. You can find them individually or the way you did with many together. Others may confirm this.

You know, this is contagious. Your exploring will never be the same. Nice find!

The next time you go back cut one open and look at the bugs and other items in the bottom of the plant. Very cool!
