My dad has instilled a love of the pine barrens in me. He has given me a few spots to explore and I'd like to hear of some more. I've been to Hampton Furnace, Friendship, Harrisville, and Pasadena (Brooksbrae). Any suggestions? I have an AWD SUV but am really not too experienced with woodsin' it, so nothing too too buried.

You can purchase various books that will give you quite a bit of information. You can also look over old posts here.

Yeah, I have the two forgotten towns books, I'm just curious if anyone has any favorites that are worth a look.

Near Mt. Misery
right along the lines of the areas you have already visited, you ought to visit the old washington tavern on iron pipe road. Mount also, though there are less remaining ruins (a celler hole and clearing.) If you search the ghost towns and forgotten places area of the forums you are sure to get a lifetime worth of places to go.

Ben's Branch, Stephen Creek
How about Spring Hill and Bear Swamp Hill in the Penn State Forest? Forked River Mountain? Pygmy pines? The list goes on and on....
