Plant ID help

Anyone know the name of this little yellow flower. Maybe 4-6 inch tall very small seen along the edge of many dirt roads in wharton in late april. I took this pic right at edge of road in Mount this april 25th.

Definately not Frostweed, but I would say possibly Oxalis, but I would have to see the leaves first to be sure.

I took Oji's advice to Manumuskin, about photographing three plants and identifying each, to become acquainted with the species growing in the Pinelands. Two of the the random photos today, were difficult, but not impossible to identify with the help of Hough's book New Jersey Wild Plants and Google images. The third has me stumped. I believe it to be Desmodium. Thanks for any help.

Another photo. The plant is about twenty-four inches tall and the leaves are two and a half inches long.
