On an old map of Burlington County, along the Pole Bridge branch, there's a mark for the Pole Bridge. Down stream from Mount Misery and upstream from Mary ann.
Has anyone explored the area for possible remnants? Does anything remain?
Vaguely, yes. I once canoed from 70 to Mary Ann, or the A-frame that used to be upstream from Mary Ann. Just rotted poles, if anything. This was almost 45 years ago.
Oh, cool. I wasn't sure if it was under route 70 or on the Mary Ann side.
Do you remember there being any other crossings of the creek before you hit the old forge site?

No, none there. That is a tangled mess downstream from 70. Also went from Country Lakes to the Mount Misery Brook with a few guys and a case of beer. Another tangled mess.
Dash, now that I look at your map, I realize now I was thinking about the wrong branch. I was on the southern Branch. So those rotted poles I saw were some smaller old crossing.
