You are talking about an extremely broad area with those two counties.
State forests are my preference for running and swimming dogs. No restrictions.
WMA's are legal between September 1, and April 30 every year for running dogs. Only November 6 is excluded.
Wharton is full of ponds, bogs streams and rivers.

Try Atsion Lake or the beaver pond down stream. Thet are free now.
