I don’t want to beat a dead horse but we really need some big rains. Went out a week ago and there really is water nowhere still.

Looks like last month was the 3rd lowest amount of precipitation in NJ statewide in January in 130 years. If I'm reading it right.

And then there's this. I knew it was unually cold here in Manahawkin. I mostly moved myself, and then had to do a lot of work on the house. Depressingly cold bringing all my possessions in with the door open.

Today they are burning the feed strips off of Washington Turnpike near Tylertown. They are also burning Friendship as well as the field across from Carranza Memorial near the camping area. And Double Trouble along with the feed strips at Colliers Mills in the Success Lake area is burning as well.
