For those of you lucky enough to be retired or unemployed, there will be a press conference on Friday on the entrance road to the old Ace Campground in Hammonton.
The subject matter will be an update on the State's new illegal dumping crackdown.
This is a good thing.

Here is the text of the news release that I received a few minutes ago.
I wanted to paste just the link but the link hasn't appeared on the NJDEP website yet.

DEP TO GIVE 6-MONTH UPDATE ON STATEWIDE CRACKDOWN ON ILLEGAL DUMPING IN STATE PARKS AND NATURAL LANDS
SIGNIFICANT RESULTS TO BE UNVEILED DURING CLEANUP OF DUMP SITE AT WHARTON STATE FOREST

TRENTON - On Friday, September 26 at 11 a.m., Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Commissioner Bob Martin will give a progress report on the agency's initiative to crack down on illegal dumping in state parks, forests, wildlife management areas and natural lands.

The announcement, which will include the latest enforcement actions of the "Don't Waste Our Open Space" program, will be made at an off-road dump site at Wharton State Forest in Hammonton, near the border of Washington Township (Burlington County). Commissioner Martin will also take part in a volunteer cleanup following the update and will be available for interviews.

Law enforcement and environmental partners, as well as local elected officials, will also be on hand.

Interested media are asked to call the DEP Press Office to RSVP as parking at the location is limited. The event will occur rain or shine.

So I guess Ace is now the dumpsite of choice.

I was back there in March doing a few coyote sits and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. I was back to the Bloody Bridge area and west of the old canal too. Something must have happened afterward.

I am glad to see that this initiative is keeping its momentum.
