I was at the College (ACCC) when it started. We were scheduled to be there until 9:15. Around 7:15 the skies opened up; by 7:45 we lost internet connection and couldn't do any more work. So we headed out. The Black Horse Pike was a trip. Most lights out and jug handles closed. I took the jug handle at Pomona Rd and most of that road was flooded. Pouring rain. Firetrucks and patrol cars everywhere.

Glad to be out of there, but even more glad at all the rain we got. No where near enough, but it was much needed!

I was in the AT&T store in Deptford and Jennifer had just got to see the tech when the lights went out and shut them down for a minute. It looked like a hurricane. By the time we left it had stopped.

I was wondering what those very strange things were hitting my wind shield on my way home from work. Then I remembered....RAIN!!! Power stayed on but the winds were whipping things around pretty good about 7:30, along with a pretty heavy down pour. Was still raining at 11:30. Curious to see how much we really got.

1.5" of rain in Folsom at the great egg harbor river. I watched the same cell on the radar go over top of freindship so maybe dust will be down the next few days. Going Coyoteprint hunting this evening:)

I was on my way home from Philadelphia and tracking the storm using the RadarScope app on my iPhone. I managed to skirt around it by taking a roundabout route until I got within a few miles of home when the rain started up. Then for the last two miles it was incredible. I could hardly even see the road - would not have wanted to drive much more than 2 miles in that storm! This was about 7:00 PM.

About 3 minutes after pulling up at my house, a big tree fell across the driveway - good timing! I was out there in the dark with my chainsaw clearing the road so I could get out in the morning. The cool thing is, I was planning to find a tree somewhere on my land to cut down this weekend to cap off my firewood supply for the winter. The storm just provided that for me, and it's even close to the house. :)
