My opinion is most of the pines is a hazard......including the elimination of the pines without fires!

I really do not see why they chose the plains area as a risk above others.

Sounds like newspaper hype.

I recall being n Yellowstone a few years after the fires of 1988. These fires burned extremely hot and for several months, but the rebirth was an amazing thing to see.
