Chris Solomon is a writer who visited the least visited (and very beautiful and remote} national park - Aniakchak on the Alaskan Peninsula, denser with more 1000 lb. brown bears than anywhere on earth. The guide explained he filed the tip of the sight off his .44 Magnum "...so it won't hurt so much when the bear shoves it up your a$$."
