Red Fox

Yesterday, in the vicinity of Nescochague, KenDawg and I saw a Red Fox. Both of us had our cameras out but niether of us got a shot. I was surprised how small it was but comparing it to pictures on-line I would say it was full grown.

They must be thriving! That is a good sign. I have noticed two this year.

My son and I came across a den this evening in Bass River but no prints since the last rain. Its possible the wind wiped them out it was in an area of loose sugar sand.

Today my wife saw a red fox cross the yard and head down the path to the bogs with something in its mouth. From where it was coming from it must have gotten into my neighbors birds. I have lived here for almost a year and that’s the first one I have seen.
