Today I didn't have a lot of free time, but I did manage to get outside to do some hiking. There is a trail near me that is part of the Edwin Forsyche Wildlife Refuge. It's not terribly long - maybe 2 or 3 miles, but eventually it brings you out to a huge salt water marsh on Barnegat Bay. It was really, really nice. I brought our puppy (we now have 2 dogs) with me, and she got a big kick out of the walk. She, of course, didn't know what mud was, and jumped into a big hole of it. So I spent about 20 minutes when I got home washing her off.

The place looks like it would be great for birding.

If you ever get a chance to come up this way, it's definately a good walk to make.
