Residents object to Atsion as shortcut

I had to snicker just a little when I read this article in the Central Record:

"After a while you start noticing a trend, in particular the increasing heavy truck traffic over the last couple years," Gates said. In fact the trend was so obvious to Gates that he began taking note of the trucks (and their points of origin) literally cutting across his lawn. "The bigger tractor trailers have a hard time making the corner at Atsion and Willow Grove Road and wind up driving across my yard leaving unsightly ruts," he explained. "I began watching these trucks and the names of where they are from and wondered why they are on these roads to begin with. There are major roads they pass by to get to these roads," said Gates.

I sold my house on Atsion Rd last summer, and I sure don't miss the way people speed through there.

i took atsion road saturday back towards home after a little jaunt in the greenwood forest area,bear swamp hill,the average speed besides me and another car,was at least 60 mph around willow grove road,three cars were in a real hurry,beeping their horns,tailgating,they were not emergency vehicles!!!!!
