I know there's been dispute here on Wescoat name, spelling, and such and what family did what. I can tell you that during my palaver with the Neil woman of the Ramble inn, that family and name came up a few times.
The old piney sound came out as "wesket".
It's just the way she said it when she spoke on them.
Made me think a little about dialect and such of the area.

Kay was one of a kind, as were her brothers Sy and Farmer. They and the Ramble Inn are missed! Their interactions were legendary.
