Can't quite find that spot on the map and not personally familiar with the area. Apparently, it's somewhere around here?

Looking in that general area on LIDAR, I don't see the "large concrete footprint" (I'm probably looking in the wrong place!).

The 1930's aerials of that area are pretty clear, but I don't see anything around there. Again, maybe I'm not looking at the right place.

There are a number of structures, small and large, at that site, starting with the 1953 aerials, on HistoricAerials.com. It has an agricultural look to me. They are still visible into the 90s.

OK... I see, thanks. That is farther South than I was looking. The cement slab(s) do show on the LIDAR

And the buildings show nicely on the 1980's aerials.

It would be very helpful to post a map link in discussions like this. If you use my site on your phone, drag/zoom the map until the crosshairs are at your location of interest. Then press the menu button and choose Share

Press the copy button and you can then just paste that link into a forum post.

You might also enjoy playing with the LIDAR terrain viewer, the realtime controls can bring out details that may not be obvious on a regular map.
But you need to use a computer because phones don't have enough processing power. (side note: has anyone gotten the terrain viewer to work on a phone or tablet? It just crashes on all the ones I've tried)

Access the terrain viewer at any time by clicking the blue cube button in the toolbar. That will open a window of settings, but you can just click the "Open" button if you don't understand them.

You can also link directly to whatever you see in the terrain viewer using the Share button. For example, the crosshairs are centered on those concrete slabs in this view (again, this link will probably crash/freeze on a phone)

Click the 2d button under the compass if you prefer a standard map view with North at the top. Those ruins look like a giant foot, with five toes pointing Southwest! :D

I know that spot. That's an old cranberry farm. Currently it's also a park police gun range and seems to be a collection site for old park system signs. Aside from the giant slab floors, there's also some rusting farm equipment and some bof drainage structures and pipes in that area.

Yes, def part of former cranberry farming there. About 20 years ago there was a bunch of stuff stored there that looked like it might have been in an old mill like nearby Squankum. Then it disappeared. I remember there was an old sled that horses would pull among the pile. The cops have a shooting range up the road now. It's unfortunate but they did a lot of gravel mining along south side of river.

I don't remember any, but I wasn't looking for them. If you go here and click through the photos, you'll find an album titled the South Side of Allaire, there are all the pictures from our last visit

I had assumed those were to do with the cranberry business, the concrete slabs being the packing house foundations
They may have been but they look older. That cranberry business is from era where I think wooden pulleys would be replaced by metal ones but just my thoughts
