Those ruins that Jim photographed I always assumed was a gun club. Those ruins can be easily missed if one is not looking at the right moment.

Jeff

I'm thinking it was a gun club also. Anyone intending to go by car to this ruin, please be careful, from Allen road, make a right onto Oswego road, you will pass a still standing gun club on the right hand side, and just past Dan's Branch on the left hand side is the ruin. Sugar sand is the name of the game on this section of Oswego road.

Lots of sugar sand over that way for sure. The clear area to the back of what I was terming the cement plant ruins is basically a dune. Despite the rough roads, we saw a couple of street machines bombing along in the barrens on Saturday. One of them was a small white compact driven by two young ladies, sporting Florida plates. Strange place, the barrens.

The active club on the right is Buck Run.
I know a few former members and a couple current members.
The caretaker at my sportsmen's club used to hunt out of the one on the left.
I will see him this Thursday night and ask him what it was named.

Thanks for the info Scott.
It would really be great if the caretaker besides telling you the name of the ruined gun club, would also have a pic of it.
