This morning Jessica and I started at Hampton Furnace and walked almost all the way to Mannis Duck pond with the goal to again revisit the location of the "Then and Now" photos below. Along the way we saw this.
And interesting tree and the wild blueberry bush nearby.

This is almost totally Three Way Sedge.
And finally, the second revisit of my "Then and Now" photo at this location. In May or June of 1978, 43 years ago, I was out with a man who worked with my mom and his friends. We came to a location where the dirt around the pipe had washed away and crossing was impossible. So we made bridge and traversed it without a problem. The next day I took my parents back so they could see it.
Developed 6/1978 and today
The exact view is basically the same from above and this shows the work done to replace the pipe and keep it from washing out.
