Not even close to being a good idea. I think that is in the Preservation Area. I think the article is a trial balloon by the Township. The Oyster Creek and Oswego River Headwaters are right there. It needs to be stopped.
I believe this is the sand pit area located north of 72 that has been for sale for years. http://maps.njpinebarrens.com/#lat=39.78446587637341&lng=-74.3265438079834&z=14&type=h&gpx= It already has Pinelands approval for several residential lots. I don't like the idea of this at all.
There is some kind of business on the other side of Jones Rd, before you get to Wells Mill CP, not sure what it is. I drove in one day and there were 55 gal drums and what appeared to be broken down machinery all over the place. A fairly large building with a loading dock. Could not tell if anyone lives there. German would probably know.
If that image was really issued by the developers to illustrate their vision, then I wouldn't worry too much. That has fail written all over it.

Please see page 28, The article about Shoreline states the mayor is suggesting they putthe ball fields there. I think that's a much better idea. A lot if acres in Barnegat, west of the GSP, is in regional growth. (east of Pancoast Road). There will always be presure to try and build out the rest.
