I recently learned about the "wayback machine" at archive.org. Their webcrawlers have been archiving everything on the internet since 1996. The earliest NJpinebarrens site I could find is the one above. Looks like there were 9 members and there were 4 posts online!
Quite an remarkable website - type any URL into the wayback machine box and it will show you a list of all the pages it's archived. I found an entire site I built in 1997, complete with all functioning links. Start here: http://www.archive.org/web/web.php
