I went out today to specifically look for snakes as they love to bask in the sun this time of year. I came across this mean looking guy. He was not easily provoked, but when I lifted him slightly with a stick he curled up and threatened me with the classic snake defense stance. He rattled, but it sounded a lot more like an insect buzzing in his tail.
Made me feel like a little boy again.
