Sloantown, Jacques Bridge, Oak Knoll, Jacllin, New-Bridge??

I cannot believe it has been more than 4 years since my search for any sign of a community at Goshen came to an abrupt end in the middle of a monster puddle on Goshen Bridge Rd.

Having come down with a bad case of cabin fever, I decided once again to continue my quest, and in doing so, I stumbled upon a New York Times article , published on July 13, 1885, with the headline, LARGE CRANBERRY BOGS RUINED.; DEVASTATION BY FOREST FIRES IN NEW JERSEY.

I found the article interesting, especially since I had never heard of many of these so-called "communities". Sloantown is mentioned as a small community between Jackson and Atco. When you consider the distance between these two points, it makes one realize how the invention of the automobile has changed the very way we think of communities.

It also raised questions regarding the locations of such places as Jacllin, New-Bridge and Jacques Bridge. Oak Knoll can be found by simply looking for a road with the name in Atco, but the others?
