Snow coming next week?

"Although it's still too early to make a specific forecast, computer models are hinting at the potential for yet another storm next week, one that might finally deliver snow to the snow-starved big cities of the mid-Atlantic, such as Washington and Philadelphia. The weather service said Tuesday that there's a chance for "heavy snow across parts of the East on Jan. 16-17." And unlike previous storms, which brought mainly rain, enough cold air could be in place for snow to fall, forecasters said. Larson said it's too early to say for sure, however, and the big cities might see only rain again next week in another disappointment for snow lovers."

I'd have no problem if not a single flurry fell from the sky. All this is going to do is make things messy. If it's not going to measured in feet, I want no parts of the snow anymore.
I'm okay if it's infrequent light snow less than 3 inches, and melts overnight. I also like the buzz and anticipation of a heavy nor'easter. I can stand that twice a year.

Doesn't look like this will melt overnight. But a big warm-up begins on Monday, getting close to 50 degrees by the middle of next week. This suggests that the core Pines will get the heaviest snow (4 to 6 inches) while it tapers down to almost nothing along the shore.

I'm going to Manasquan in the morning for a 10:30 appointment at a specialty dentist. I hope to be out of it before it gets bad.

Just started here, it's arriving later than the original forecast. But they have changed the totals, now it appears almost all of South Jersey will get 4 to 6 inches. :siren:

They still keep calling for 4 to inches, but what I’m seeing on radar doesn’t seem to indicate that much coming. But, things can change.

I think we may have posted too soon. :D Snow is still light, but falling steadily now. If it continues like this until 10 PM, that could add up to a lot.

Channel six is saying it will be off the coast by 7. Not sure how accurate that is.

I’d take this storm anytime. Zero traffic into Philly for work. Very light traffic home with well maintained roads and quicker than average commute time. Finished the day with a beautiful ride thru Wharton for a meal at the Pic!
