I was in the Wawa right down the street from you, no hint of precipitation when I went in. It was windy when I came out, and I was admiring that sky as I turned South on Rt 47. Almost immediately, it started pounding down and blowing all over the place. I went South on Rt 55 to the next exit, then headed East. I don't think the whole storm even lasted ten minutes and most of the way home there were just sprinkles.

Here comes the snow! Looks like Pennyslvania will get hammered but most of the Pines won't get much. According to this, my place in Atlantic County won't get any snow at all (but could get between 2 and 3 inches of rain).

It's been almost two years since Washington, DC, has had a snowfall greater than 1 inch, but that could change drastically by Monday. The city is under a winter storm watch from Saturday evening until Sunday evening, with 5-10 inches of snow possible.

With the storm system still several days away, there is still some uncertainty in the forecast about how much snow will fall in the Northeast.
"There seems to be a consensus amongst forecast models that moderate to heavy snow will occur from portions of Virginia to Pennsylvania and New Jersey, but there continues to be some uncertainty on the exact track of the low pressure Monday into Tuesday," Ward said.

In its forecast discussion, the office also noted that the storm is forecast to be an abnormally long storm with 36 or more hours of snow and wintry precipitation, and that the highest snow totals and rates will likely not be realized until late Monday.

These types of storms are always interesting. It seems that my place is always on the line of rain vs. snow.

This storm sounds no different. I'll wake up Monday morning at 5am, like I always do, put my head out the door and plan my day from there.

The latest forecast has the heavy bands moving farther north. They are forecasting wind gusts up to 55mph, which sounds like trouble.
