Went out around 7 am to see what the rain drove out, saw lots of all the common critters(box turtles, racers, water snakes, skinks, swifts, and frogs). Here are some of the pics wasn't going to post them but the woods have been really dead lately so this was a moderately good day.
This guy just got done attempting to swim across one of those blue holes. He realized he it was getting to deep turned around and swam towards me. Very friendly turtle almost made me think he may have been in captivity at one point.
Actually haven't seen too many water snakes this year, there were four at
this spot but two scurried into the water. Can anyone tell me why I always see snakes in pairs? Racers and waters especially.
This redbelly was on a log 100 yards away from water basking, she was in rough shape only had two intact feet, one was gone and her front right was chewed up. I think she may have just gotten done laying eggs but was very light for a red
Not sure why I posted this??
Nothing special, but better than nothing.
