I was just looking at the list of reptiles and amphibians in new jersey. I was real suprised to see that they listed timber rattlesnakes as occurring in gloucester and cumberland counties. I always thought they were restricted to burlington and ocean. Also does anyone know if five-lined skinks are common in the pines, my last two trips out I have been coming across dozens almost as much as fence swifts. I looked in my book about the pine barrens(boyd) and it doesn't even really mention skinks. Here are some pics of a quick hour hike on my way home from the shore.
